WENDOVER AIR SHOW

This last Saturday we drove

(actually Curtis and his friend drove their motorcycles,

while the wives drove all the kids in the car)

to Wendover for the Air Show.

I had never been to an air show.

And for the people that know me

I was a little leery of plane crashes!

Anyways it turned out pretty cool.

The kids loved it of course!

Pretty hip shades!

After the planes did their tricks
they came right in front of us to wave.
The kids really loved that!

Their was a diesel truck set up
that the kids could go shoot BB Guns.

The blue plane was the plane that did the most craziest stunts!

Of course Coltin loved all the army gear.

They even had a gun that was on the back of a tank

the kids could shoot and it would shoot blanks.

It was really loud, but really cool.

They also had a ton of planes the kids could walk in.

After Curtis' long hard ride,

he enjoyed sitting and relaxing.

They had a couple of jets but nothing compared to the F-16!

Can I just say OMG!

It was soooo fast and soooo loud!

It was so amazing to watch!

I loved it!

The had 2 sets of planes that had four planes fly at the same time.

Those were really cool too!

All in all it was a great day!

It was super hot, but way worth it.

BASEBALL

Baseball is finally over!

I love baseball but when you have a ton of rain outs

You have to make them up.

The end of the season they were having 3-4 games a week.

With 2 kids that's a lot of games!

This year was great I think both boys did so good.

I love to see them get better each year.

Coltin struggled batting this year.

Probably because he went up a level to minors.

And there are some pretty good pitchers.

By the end of the season he starting hitting better.

Conner learning how to keep official score.
Coltin really excelled at catcher.
He was the only one that would hustle
so that they couldn't steal.
And he made some awesome outs at home.

Coltin being silly in the dugout!

Conner played so good this year.

He pitched and played in field .

The last game he caught a line drive

and threw the runner out at first that ran.

I think that is the only double play in Peewee history.

He was also our most consistent hitter.

I loved to watch him pitch.

He tried so hard and gets so into striking players out.

Conner's team did awesome they got trophies for 2nd place.

They went 5-5 with 2 tie games.

They actually tied for 2nd,

so it went to the team with the most runs.

That was US!

Curtis did an excellent job coaching!

Coltin with his coach.

They went 2-12 and 1 tie game.

They didn't win very many but they never gave up.

They ended up winning their last game to the

2nd place team.

That was exciting!!

My nephew Kayson cheering on Conner at his

All Star Game.

Conner was selected to be on the Binghams

All Star team.

Since Conner was selected they asked

Curtis to coach.

They played 1 game against the other Bingham

All Star team.

It was a close game but we won 1-0.

Check out the video of Conner pitching.

He is Awesome!!!

U2 "360" Concert

Curtis, me, Aunt Nancy, and Dustin went to the U2 Concert.

After weeks of cold and rainy weather.

It finally clear up for the concert.

We were afraid it would be freezing,

but it wasn't too bad.

The concert was amazing.

The stage, props, and the lights were crazy.

It was really long and late (on a weekday)

I know we are old.

We picked the kids up from the babysitter at midnight.

It was worth it.

So much F.U.N.

It was too dark for pictures,

but this is a pic off the jumbo tron!

Conner's Field Trip

Conner's class went to Red Butte Gardens today.

I went with as a chaperon.

Due to some scheduling conflict they

were only given a tour. Usually they did a

science project with plants.

So it was short and sweet.

After the tour we went to Sunny side Park

and ate lunch and let the kids play.

Conner and his buddy Kolton were in the same group.

Conner smelling the plant that smelled like lemonade.

Kids running around like crazy animals.

This was mine and Mr. Vierra's group.

This was the only wild animal they saw.

Conner was sad he didn't see any rattlesnakes.

Since he was told that rattle snakes live there.

I am really glad we didn't see one :-)

We hammed it up on the way to the park.

Conner eating lunch with all the girls.

Him and the girl next to him shared each others lunches.

Tender!!

They grow up way to fast don't they!

MARKET DAY!

Coltin's class had a Market Day.

I was able to volunteer and help out.

It was so much fun.

Each kid was given a profession with pay.

Then they had to go buy a house, car, etc.

They got to see how money doesn't grow on trees.

After they bought all the necessary things,

which included putting money in the bank.

They were able to go buy fun things,

like pets, skateboards, and even McDonald's.

I loved seeing some kids be frugal

and others blow right threw their money.

Coltin was a scientist. (see the weird scientist hair?)

After buying his house, car, and motorcycle.

He also bought a lizard and a EAGLE.

Really?

Then the kids got to count how much money they had left.

It was a great learning experience.

They also had a ton of fun doing it.

Coltin had $60.00 in the bank

and $20.00 in his wallet when he was finished.

He started out with $300.00 so I would say he did pretty good.

MARLINS

Conner got drafted by the Marlin's.

Curtis is the coach and is doing great.

It amazes me how great he is at coaching.

He is so patient with the kids and

know just how to get on their level to teach them.

Conner is a little stud muffin.

He eats, sleeps, and breathes baseball.

We were driving in the car the other day.

I was trying to talk to him and he says to me

Ssshhh mom I am daydreaming

that I am playing in a baseball game.

He is doing awesome.

He can play any position and he is one of our best hitters.

We are so proud of him.

He's always the one that is down and ready!

Can't wait until kid pitch.
(starts this week!)

He really lives for the after game snack!

UGH! YANKEE'S

Coltin this year got drafted to the Yankee's!

(I know it hurt a little to have a Yankee uniform in the house)

His team got off to a rough start but

they are getting it together.

Coltin has become their catcher and he

is doing awesome.

He's the only one on the team that will hustle to the ball.

Otherwise kids just steal and steal and steal.

Coltin has stepped up and saved the team.

Now if we can just build some confidence with batting.

He did great last year with batting.

This year he hesitates and second guesses the pitches.

Either way he makes us proud.

Even for a Yankee!!!

True ball player.

In the dugout, with the gear on, eating seeds!

Looks like a pro huh?
