NEW NEW ADDITION!!

Introducing "ADAM" to the family.
So if you read my previous post you know that
Eve had escaped to somewhere in our house.
So after about a week and a half we realized Eve wasn't coming back.
Therefore after Coltin begged and begged we went
and got him another snake.
We thought it appropriate to name it Adam.
Then if Eve ever came back he would have a match.
This snake is soooo much better.
He is much more livelier. He sleeps during the day,
but in the evening he comes awake and is sooo lively.
He loves to play and roam his cage.
We have one happy son and one happy snake!!
He's the same type of snake,
he is more red in color instead of orangy like Eve!
Hopefully Eve will return to Adam!

FIRST TRIP TO THE ZOO THIS SUMMER!!!

Last Thursday the boys and I went to the Zoo for the first time this summer.
Right when we got there they were doing a elephant show.
Which I had never seen before. They had the male elephant do some tricks.
Then they brought out the baby elephant and the mom of course.
All they did was liter the elephant exhibit with food
and we watched them eat. The baby was hilarious.
She would crush whole cantaloupe and pineapples with her face then eat it.
It was fun to watch because she is sooo clumsy.
She ran right into the pole in the exhibit like it wasn't there.
I could have watched it all day.
The other cool thing was we watched a reptile show.
Which of course Coltin loved, especially the snakes.
It was a great day at the ZOO!!!

WHY AM I ALWAYS RIGHT!!!!!!

So hopefully by now you have read about our new addition to our family ( the pet snake). I told Curtis, for the first little while, that Coltin could not play with it unsupervised, and I want the lid left on the cage. Well I went to go to bed on last Saturday night, I kiss Coltin good night and went to change the lamps on the snake. The stupid lid was not on the cage. I started the typical wife thing and start yelling at Curtis. He kept saying the snake is sooo small there is no way it could get out of the cage. Therefore I say well so I can sleep tonight come find the snake in the cage and put the lid on!!! He starts moving all the wood particles around (and yes it is small and so sometimes it takes a minute to find her), well he keeps searching, searching. NO FN SNAKE!!!!! The freaking snake got OUT!!!! I could have killed Curtis! I was soooo freaked out thinking there is a snake roaming around in my house. After hours and hours of looking we finally decided to go to bed. Thank God my bed is like 2 feet off the ground and I know that this snake couldn't hurt a fly. Mind you by this time it is past midnight. We go to bed, Curtis and I are still talking in bed (Me saying what the hell are we going to do tomorrow if we don't find it?). That's when we heard Coltin crying. I was sooo pisted off at Curtis, I didn't stop to think that my son was going to be devastated that he just lost his new pet. I had to go in their and reassure him that we will keep looking and if it doesn't show up, I would "think" about getting him another one. Well it's been almost a week and still NO SNAKE! We have come to the conclusion that it probably went down the heater vent and died. Or in months from now we will come across a dead snake somewhere. It was suppose to eat on Sunday and it didn't eat and also it is tooo cold in our house for a snake to survive. Now the dreaded decision do I buy my son another snake? WHY IN THE HELL DON'T HUSBANDS LISTEN TO THEIR WIFE'S? WE ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!!! RIGHT?

New Addition!!!!

MEET "EVE"!
So this is an interesting story.
When we left to go on our 4 wheeling trip over Memorial weekend.
We cleaned out Coltin's fish tank.
While the fish bowl was getting to room temperature
we had the fish in a mixing bowl.
When I went to go put the fish in the fish bowl.
NO FISH!
It had jumped out of the bowl and landed in the sink and died!!!
I didn't tell Coltin. Yet!
While we were on the 4 wheeling trip Coltin caught a lizard.
He wanted to keep it.
Dad talked him into returning it to the wild
with the promise we would think about buying him
either a snake or a lizard.
After returning home and telling Coltin 'bout the fishes unfortunate passing.
Curtis decided on Monday to buy a snake.
Therefore meet EVE.
She is a 3 week old corn snake.
Very nice, and she doesn't grow too fast.
She is only like 5 inches long and about the size of a pencil around.
Perfect for Coltin.
Coltin and DAD are very excited.
Now let's hope she never escapes cause that will be bye bye snakie!!!

She really is cute!!! For a snake!!!

BINGHAM BASEBALL!!!

I finally took some pictures of the boys playing ball.
This year since Dad is the coach,
they are on the same team,
and they are the GIANTS!!!

I am soo happy to say that it has finally clicked with Coltin
with baseball. He finally gets it and want to be better.
He has turned into quite the baller!!!

Conner is a stud too but still needs some work.
He is one of the cutest catchers. EVER!!!

Coltin going 3 for 3 Again!!!

Conner is also a really good hitter,
even though he is still a little timid at the plate.

Last night they played the YANKEE's
and yes we beat them 8-6.
It always feels good to see the Yankee's lose.
Even if it is in Little League!!

MOAB

A couple of weekends ago our family and
Curtis' Aunt and cousin Dustin, and Dustin's friend Ken
Went to MOAB.
We had never been there before
and we are soo glad we went.
It was sooo much fun and
we didn't do any of the real fun stuff!!

Conner checking out the views.

I told Curtis to pose!!!!
LOL!

Coltin and Conner

Started off with a few small hikes
and left the big ones for the next day!

Curtis hiked up next to Balancing Rock.
With the lighting, this is an amazing picture.

Chuck Wagon Dinner!

We went to a Chuck Wagon Dinner.
It was mostly for the kids.
It had roping, horseshoes, a gun shoot out,
Dinner, and a singing show after.
The kids thought it was great.
It was a fun family experience!

Conner trying to rope the steer.
Curtis, Dustin, and Coltin were able to rope it.
Conner tried, and tried, and kind of did it.

Conner playing horse shoes.

The Western Shoot Out!
Kind of lame but the kids liked it.

Then the Dinner show.
Coltin and Conner were called on stage to help out.

The music was awesome!!
