Salt Lake City Half Marathon is OVER!!! :-)

Well it's over for another year at least!!

I got Planter whatever on my left foot about 2 weeks ago

and I thought this run is going to suck!

Thanks to Jesus it didn't hurt a bit!!!

I was slower than last year,

but that is what happens when you get hurt

2 weeks before the race.

I was extremely happy that I finished.

Christa finished great!

1 hour and 50 minutes!!!

I wanted to finish in under 2 hours.

Well I finished in 2 hours and 4 seconds!! LOL!

Josh did awesome entertaining the kiddo's!!

Teri did fabulous finishing in 2 hours and 33 minutes!

Great job ladies and look forward to training with you next year!!

SAN FRANCISCO!!! GO GIANTS!!!

We went to California the week after Easter.

We went to visit Grandma Stevens and go to a Giants Game!

While in San Fran the boys wanted to go in the Submarine that is in the Bay.

They both thought that was awesome,

except Coltin thought it would be moving. LOL!

It was their home opener, so there were fireworks!

It was sooo much fun.

Can't wait to go back!

EASTER!!! (I know I am a little behind)

For Easter the boys got a basketball hoop w/ balls.

I need to get them out of the house more.

They both love it and have been playing everyday.

We have already lost one of the balls.

We have great neighbors that don't return things.

I assume it was left out and someone took it.

They had an Easter Egg hunt.

This year the Easter bunny only hid 20 eggs

and really hid them in hard places.

Conner loved it.

I think Conner was a little bit more excited

about the basketball hoop than Coltin. LOL!

A New Life!!!

Everyone knows me as the stay-at-home mom,
who decided to go back to school.
Welcome to my new life. Last week I got a new job at Discover Card.
I don't start my training until May, but I am in a whirlwind.
I haven't worked for 6 years. I think I forgot how to work.
(Having someone tell me what to do! and I can't tell them off!!!)
I have always known I was going to go back to work.
The plan was when Conner was in full time school.
Well next year Conner will be in 1st grade.
( I know where has the time gone!)
My shift will be 5 am until noon,
which is good that I get to be home when the kids get home.
I am still going to be going to school, obviously not as full time as I am now.
Then on Thursday Curtis took the day off
and he went and bought me a new car.
I know I am soo spoiled!!!
He bought me a Toyota Camry (the sports package)
It's Silver and Awesome!!!
I feel like I am a new person with a new life.
Does that sound crazy?
I am going to work, in a new car,
and I am taking the summer to settle in without school.
I won't even know what to do with my time.
I guess catch up on a lot of reading!!!

RIVERTON CITY HALF MARATHON!

In my training for Salt Lake City Half Marathon,

I was suppose to run 12 miles this past Saturday.

Since my normal running partners weren't running this Saturday.

I decided to sign up for the Riverton City Half Marathon

(it's only 1.1 miles further than I was suppose to run)

and run with Big Mike who had already signed up.

I signed up and then looked at the route (WOW! I am stupid)

After looking at the route I thought what was I thinking.

Anyways I got up and ran it. It turned out to be a beautiful day.

The first of the season I had to take my long sleeves off.

The run wasn't so bad, a little hilly. but not so bad.

Glad I did it and it is over and look forward to only

running 10 miles next week.

I am giving it to my best husband and my biggest fan,

whose sicker than hell and still wouldn't miss

me running and following me along the route.

The next time I saw the family they were playing with the dog at a church.
Conner tried to run with me for a while. But he gave up!

When I was done I did say to the kids.

Dad is the best supporter but I can't wait til you guys get a

little older and you can run with me.

Coltin says, "I ain't running with you mom!!" :-(

Conner said he will run with me.

Glad someone wants to, we will see if it happens though!

Salt Lake 1/2 Marathon Training!

We have 4 more Saturday runs before the Salt Lake 1/2 Marathon

on April 17th.

We haven't all been able to run together because of our crazy schedules.

Today was the first day all 4 of us got together to run.

We had to run 10 miles and we all met at 9:00 a.m. to start.

When I left my house it was 44 degrees and was partly cloudy.

I knew it was suppose to storm today,

but it wasn't going to arrive until 11:00ish so I thought we would be ok.

When we started running is right when the wind started.

It only sucked when running into the wind (heading South)

and thank goodness our route zigged zagged so we changed direction alot.

It sprinkled on us for the first 7-8 miles, then the rain came!

And when I say it came, "IT CAME!"

This is what we looked like running the last 2 miles,

We could not get to our destination fast enough.

When 2 of us got finished, we ended up jumping in the car and picking her up.

We couldn't find the last runner,

because he was running to another further destination

(he had to run 14 miles)

When we got heading home it turned into a blizzard.

All I kept thinking was "I am sooo glad to be finished and not running in that."

Next week we have to run 11 miles,

lets hope the sun comes out to play!

Dr. Seuss' Birthday Program

Coltin's 2nd grade class had a Dr. Seuss Birthday program yesterday and he was even on FOX 13 News, live at 11, on Tuesday with Big Buddha. It was so cute they sang and recited poems

and had a staring contest with their parents. Coltin sang soo good I could hear him from my seat. I Love things like this. It gives me warm fuzzies!!!

He also loved that he could leave right after the program and

miss the rest of the day.

(only 1 1/2 hours, but I remember how cool that was when I was young)
