BAD ASS!!!

So on Wednesdays I volunteer for Coltins class. When I went into the office the office lady says. So Coltin ended up needing stitches. I said yes! She said well I heard Coltin was so brave. I started to laugh and I said what do you mean. She said well Coltin came in and said "Yeah I had to get stitches and it was LAME!! IT DIDN'T EVEN HURT!!!!!" I told her the real story and we had a good laugh!! He went back to school and told everyone it was no big deal. LOL!!!!

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT WAS A HUGE DEAL!!!!

STITCHES!!!

So Tuesday I got the dreaded phone call from the elementary school saying "Coltin got hurt and you need to come get him. I think he needs STITCHES!!" When I got to the school, Coltin was in the office (not crying). When we got in the car I said I think you need stitches.

ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!!!!

He started crying and saying I DO NOT WANT STITCHES!!!

So we compromised and said we would have the doctor look and see if it was needed. When we got to the doctors he cleaned it out and put some ointment on it with a bandage and said come back in about 45 minutes! Then whispered to me that he would need stitches! I told Coltin that the doctor put some medicine on it so that when we come back he could get a better look at it. We went and got some ice cream, ran home, then came back to the doctors. Coltin was awesome until the doctor came in and undid the wrapped instruments to do the stitches. Coltin said what is that for? They put a drape over Coltins face and He started to SCREAM!!! (If any of you know Coltin well enough, you know how loud he is normally. Try when he is scared to death. I think he cleared the building!!!) It took 2 doctors, 2 nurses, and Curtis to hold him down. Meanwhile Coltin is screaming "GET OFF OF ME!!!, I CAN'T BREATH!!!!, I DON'T WANT STITCHES!!!" What am I doing you say. I am holding Conner who is freaking out because he thinks we are killing Coltin. Conner is crying with his fingers in his ears and saying to me. "MOM JUST LET HIM BREATH PLEASE!!" After the first two stitches were in the doctor is saying to Coltin calm down we already go the first 2 in and it is not even hurting. Coltin started to calm down after that. Then the doctor finished up and Curtis asked him. So was that the worse set of stitches you ever has to do. The doctor replied with, he is pretty close to the top. Afterwords I went to Coltin to say see you are ok. He had sweat drizzling down his face!!! WOW!!!

So I forgot to tell you how this happened. I said Coltin how did this happen? He said I Fainted!! I said What?! He said a friend of mine was bugging me so I though if I pretended to faint he would leave me alone. So I closed my eyes and fell. I just happened to fall onto something. (a puzzle shelf). Curtis told him he needs to come up with a cooler story, that one is lame!!!!

After the doctor it was time for Karate. So off to karate we go!!! While I had my camera I though I would take some pictures.

The "BROWN" Family Reunion!

My dads moms (Browns) family reunion is always held on the 2nd weekend of August. We normally camp Fri-Sun and sometimes some extra days during the week. Last year kind of scared us off. It always rains at least one of the days you are camping. Last year was monsoon rains. We invited our friends Gordon and Teri last year with there nice new trailer. We tried to pull into the campsite got stuck and ended up camping right in the middle of the dirt road. We still had a good time, but I really didn't want to get up there this year and it be the same. So we decided to only go up for the day on Saturday. So we got up at the crack of dawn, drove the 2 hrs it takes to get there. Arrived just in time for the nice hot breakfast they just cooked. Then the games and fun began!!!

So all the kids got together for a sack race. As I walked Coltin and Conner over to the starting line. I said "Here is some advice COLTIN "don't try to go so fast that you end up making Conner fall. WORK TOGETHER!!!!" Lets see if Coltin listened!

After the race was all over.
They decided to try it again and they actually went for a little while!

We played a game where you had to get a team of like 7-8 people and you had to stay in a chain, then get the hoolahoop through your whole team without breaking your chain. It was fun but it was funnier watching all the kids and adults try to hoolahoop. Coltin was soo good. I was surprised! He could walk and do things while he was still hoolahooping! LOL!!

Conner it took a little longer but he finally got it a little!!!

We have a horseshoe tournament every year. You don't get to pick your partner. The last 2 years I have been partnered with 2 really good horseshoe players and have won!!! This year I wasn't so lucky. I love you Aunt Pam, but you are not a good horseshoe player. Pam and I had to play Curtis and Margie (which Margie claimed she wasn't good, but got 2 ringers!) We lost our first game 1-21 :( I know its a crying shame!!!!

Today was Conner's first day at Kindergarten. Him and his little buddy Kolton got on the bus this morning for the first time.

I cried when Coltin went off to Kindergarten. I thought I would do the same with Conner. He got on the bus and I was doing fine. Didn't cry, then I followed him to school. Off he goes into his classroom. Didn't cry, then I came home to my empty house. That was soo quiet it felt really weird. I called Curtis and had a good cry!!! My youngest son is getting sooo Big!

First day of 2nd grade!!!!

I know it is only July 27th but yes Coltin started school!!! He was so excited to get back and be with his friends. This was also the first year he was worried about his clothes. He picked out what to wear the night before. I think he picked well. He is pretty dang cute. He also wanted a picture of his really cool G.I. Joe backpack!!!

Almost all his friends from last year are in his class except his very best friend Jace is not, but he said it's OK Mom I will see him at recess! He is getting so big! :(

He had a great day and he says he really likes his teacher.

Next week my lil' baby will start Kindergarten:(

Yuba Lake!!

Over the July 24th weekend we went to Yuba lake for our Annual boating vacation with the Rentmeister clan. We had sooo much fun. The weather was perfect. Even though it was a little windy it cooled us off from the heat. Other than sleeping in a tent and making the wind sound like we were in a cyclone. Everything was perfect! Here are a few pictures!!

These pictures were taken from the shore so they aren't very clear, but these are of my stud muffin Coltin water skiing for the first time. The first time Curtis helped him get up off the beach. The second time he said I can do it all by my self and sure enough he did. I am so proud of him. He went to school on Monday and told his class he was the worlds best skier!!! LOL!!

We had the best time and wanted to make a shout out to Steven and Jaime for allowing us to come and ride there boat and taking my kids tubing and skiing. It made there summer!! And to everyone else thanks for making us part of the family. We love you all!!!!

LAGOON! It's What Fun Is!!!!

Thursday night we decided to take the boys to Lagoon on Friday. We got up packed a cooler and left. We went to Lagoon a Beach first. Besides the water being freezing and the ground tearing up your feet. We had a blast both boys could and did every slide except the drop slides. We had a blast. We showered and got ready for the rides!!!

The boys were so good (even Coltin if you can believe it). We went on almost every ride they could go on. Coltin got to go on the Colossus for the first time and even got to ride the new roller coaster "Wicked" (which is sooo much fun!) Conner was able to sneak on the Spider roller coaster and he loved it. We almost got Conner on the Wild Mouse. (Mind you he is only 1/2 inch under the height to go on most of the big rides. You have to be 46 inches and he is 45 1/2. Lame!!) We had so much fun and we only spent $25.00 (not including tickets to get in) which is amazing. That includes parking and tubes in lagoon a beach. The only other thing we bought were snow cones. We ate before we went, had late lunch at like 5 pm and bought snow cones. I brought in lunch and waters and a ton of snacks. It was a fun day!! (Oh it was extremely hot thought!!)

My camera battery died so I didn't get a ton of pictures of Coltin going on some of the big rides! I know I am retarded. Next time!!
